How to Link or Unlink Your Bank Account on ZAP

To send money to your beneficiaries using ZAP, you must either top up your ZAP balance, link your card, or link your bank account.

Note: Currently, only Nigerian bank accounts can be linked to ZAP.

How to Link Your Bank Account to ZAP

  1. Go to the Account Page:

    • Open your ZAP app and navigate to the Account page.

  2. Select "Link a Bank Account":

    • Tap the Link a Bank Account option.

  3. Enter Your Phone Number:

    • If you haven’t previously linked an account through Paystack Vault using your existing email on Paystack, you’ll need to enter your phone number.

  4. Enter OTP:

    • An OTP will be sent to your registered phone number. Enter the OTP to proceed.

  5. Provide Bank Account Details:

    • If your account is already linked to Paystack Vault, you can skip this and the following steps.

    • If not, select your bank and enter your account number. Your account name will be automatically retrieved.

  6. Enter Address Information:

    • Provide your residential address, city, and state, then tap Continue.

  7. Confirm Your Bank Account:

    • A Paystack-Titan bank account will be displayed. Transfer the specified amount (usually NGN 50) from the bank account you’re linking to the provided Paystack-Titan account number.

    • Once the transfer is complete, tap "I’ve Sent the Money".

  8. Wait for Confirmation:

    • The transfer confirmation may take about a minute.

  9. Successful Linking:

    • If successful, you’ll receive an "Account Linked Successfully" message. Tap Done to complete the process.

  10. Failed Linking:

    • If the payment fails, you’ll receive an "Account Linking Failed" message and have the option to retry.

  11. View Linked Account(s):

    • On your Account page, you can view all bank accounts linked to your ZAP account.


How to Unlink a Bank Account from ZAP

  1. Go to Your Account Page:

    • Open your ZAP app and tap the Profile Icon in the top left corner to access the Account page.

  2. Select the Bank Account:

    • Choose the bank account you want to unlink.

  3. Unlink the Account:

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Unlink Account" to remove it from your profile.

  4. Confirm the Action:

    • A confirmation prompt will appear. Confirm to complete the unlinking process.

Note: Once unlinked, the account will be completely removed from ZAP. To re-use it, you'll need to redo the linking process.
