How to Make Transfers with Zap

With Zap, you can quickly transfer funds to any bank account within Nigeria. To make transfers, you can either top up your Zap balance or have your Apple pay or bank account directly debited if your card or account is linked.

Steps to Make Transfers

  1. Open the Zap App: Click on the “Send Money“ button.

  2. Fill in the Transfer Details:

    • On the Transfers page, enter the amount you want to send.

    • Choose the source of funds: your Zap balance, linked accounts, linked cards, or Apple Pay.

  3. Enter Recipient Information:

    • Manually input the recipient's bank details.

    • Alternatively, click the camera icon at the top right to scan the account number.

    • You can also select a recipient from your list of beneficiaries by typing their name.

    • To save a new recipient, toggle the “Save Beneficiary” button.

  4. Proceed to the Confirmation Page:

    • Click “Continue” to review the recipient details and the amount.

    • Confirm the details on the Transfer Confirmation screen.

  5. Confirm and Complete Transfer:

    • Enter your transaction PIN on the next page.

    • Click “Continue” to initiate the transfer.

After the Transfer

  • Transfer Success: If the transfer is successful, you will receive a confirmation message, email and push notifications.

  • Transfer Failure: If the transfer fails, you will see a screen showing the reason for the failure. If there is an issue charging your selected payment method, we will let you know in the app and provide an option to change their selected payment method.

  • Processing Delays: If there is a delay due to your linked bank, a transfer processing screen will be displayed.
